week 3. "power of words"
we were encouraged to venture toward text adventures but... ah. i had this idea where you were stranded on an island with messages-in-bottles drifting past. you caught bottles, read the messages, and composed your own by compositing words from messages you'd received. the idea of reading messages written by strangers, whose lives and contexts you were unaware of, was really charming to me.
i had a much shorter time to work on this one so i made something small. all the game elements are on a single screen. i used toki pona, a simple-by-design conlang, for glyphs and grammar. it's sort of a toki pona lesson in game format.
the ending was planned to be the shadow of a rescue plane passing over the screen. however i finished this like an hour before class so instead your rescue message gets washed away. sorry
(correct solution...)
